Editorial Policy
Where the figures on each page come from, how a piece is described, and what happens when something turns out wrong.
We write every description and guide on this site ourselves, from the specification we publish for the product. The name on a card is ours: hundred-character titles are written for a search box, not for a person choosing something.
Where a specification is silent, we leave the line out rather than filling it with something plausible. A measurement nobody measured is worse than no measurement.
Where health or safety is involved we read the public guidance ourselves, quote it word for word, and print the date we read it beside the link.
